Freshman
Are you in high school? Want to learn more about life at UIW? Freshman students at UIW are students applying for college immediately after graduating high school or who haven't attended college since high school.
Transfer
Transfer students at UIW have college credits from another institution, are working on a second undergraduate degree, are a transient student (taking a UIW course but enrolled at another institution) or are a non-degree seeking student.
International
International students at UIW are students who do not hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, and require a visa to enter the United States, and are pursuing a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree.
Graduate and Doctoral
Graduate students at UIW are students who have completed a bachelor's degree and want to pursue a master's or doctoral degree.
Non-Traditional Students
The School of Professional Studies (SPS) offers associates, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees online and in-person for working professionals.

There are five UIW health profession schools offering professional degrees in the areas of nursing, optometry, osteopathic medicine, pharmacy and physical therapy.
